On Sunday December 30, 2007 at about 4:41 pm a Caucasian male, 25-35 years old, balding with blondish hair and a light red goatee entered Starbucks, at 11861 San Pablo Ave, brandished a firearm and stole cash from the business.

On Tuesday January 15, 2008 Detective Leone positively identified the suspect in the robbery as Patrick Farmer, a 29 year old male resident of El Sobrante. Farmer is currently in custody in Alameda County, pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday December 31, 2007 at about 9:05 am a Caucasian male, about 6' tall and 200 lbs, entered Denny's restaurant, at 11344 San Pablo Ave, brandished a firearm and stole cash from the business.

On Monday January 14, 2008 Detective Leone positively identified the suspect in the robbery as Robert Farmer, a 39 year old male resident of El Sobrante. Farmer is currently in custody in Alameda County, pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday December 31, 2007 at about 1:30 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a forgery in progress at California Check Cashing, at 10394 San Pablo Ave. After an investigation Fredrick Arlando Jones, a 41 year old male resident of Richmond, was arrested for forgery and possession of stolen property. Jones was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Sunday December 30, 2007 at about 6:13 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 10000 block of San Pablo Ave, where the suspect had grabbed a woman's purse and fled on foot. At about 6:34 pm El Cerrito Police Officers received a report of a second robbery in the 10600 block of San Pablo Ave, with another woman's purse grabbed. After an investigation Bilal Muhammad, a 23 year old male resident of Richmond, was located and arrested for both robberies. Muhammad was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Sunday December 30, 2007 at about 5:20 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Lucky's, at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. After an investigation Thaddus Eison, a 36 year old male resident of Oakland, was arrested for theft. Eison was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday December 28, 2007, in response to an arrest made by the San Leandro Police Department, Detective Leone arrested Mandi Bernard Coleman, a 19 year old male resident of Oakland, after Coleman was identified as one of the persons who committed the robbery at Yusan Sushi, at 11866 San Pablo Ave, on December 4, 2007. The second suspect in the robbery, Lance Ian Lindquist, a 19 year old male resident of Oakland, has also been identified, and is in custody in Santa Rita for several robberies he and Coleman committed in Alameda County. Coleman was transported to the Santa Rita Jail pending the filing of charges by the Alameda County and Contra Costa County District Attorney's Offices.

On Thursday December 27, 2007 at about 4:18 pm Officer Matsui arrested Eric Bernard Scott, a 31 year old male resident of Antioch, after Scott was found to be illegally in possession of a loaded handgun during a traffic stop. Scott was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday December 27, 2007 at about 12:17 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a forgery in progress at Ross, at 2000 El Cerrito Plaza. After an investigation Keyshauna Robinson, a 27 year old female resident of Richmond, was arrested for forgery. Robinson was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday December 22, 2007 at about 7:40 pm Officer Hernandez arrested Ryan Turner, a 23 year old male resident of Richmond, and Demarco Childs, a 23 year old male resident of Richmond, after Turner was found in possession of a loaded handgun and crack cocaine for sales and Childs was found in possession of crack cocaine for sales, during a traffic stop. Both Turner and Childs attempted to flee their vehicle on foot, but were apprehended. Turner and Childs were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday December 22, 2007 at about 2:38 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a collision and subsequently arrested Joslyn Thompson, a 25 year old female resident of Albany, a 12 year old male resident of Richmond, a 17 year old male resident of San Pablo and a 14 year old male resident of Richmond, after an investigation determined the group had just attempted to take a woman's purse by force. The collision occurred after the crime, during the group's attempt to flee the scene. Thompson was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility and the males were released to their guardians, pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday December 20, 2007 at about 10:15 pm Officer Del Prado arrested Venus Grigsby-Allen, a 34 year old female resident of Richmond, after Grigsby-Allen was found in possession of numerous forged checks and identifications during a traffic stop. Grigsby-Allen was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday December 20, 2007 at about 12:00 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 1600 block of Roger Court. After an investigation Donta Lamar Drake, a 23 year old male resident of El Cerrito, was arrested for possession of marijuana for sales. Drake was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday December 19, 2007 at about 9:45 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Lucky's, at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. After an investigation Willie Lee Dudley Jr, a 43 year old male resident of Oakland, was arrested for theft. Dudley was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On December 17, 2007, at about 1514 hours El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a shooting call in the 5300 block of Cypress Avenue. Upon arriving, officers found 19 year old El Cerrito resident, Jacari Carter lying on the ground suffering from two gunshot wounds. Carter was airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment and is currently in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black male adult in his late teens to very early 20s, who fled the scene in an older bright green American made midsized vehicle. The suspect is described as being about 5'11" to 6'01" tall, weighing about 200 pounds. The suspect was wearing a blue long-sleeved thermal type shirt and blue jeans.

This is an ongoing investigation and the El Cerrito Police Department welcomes any information that might lead to the identification of the suspect or the location of the suspect vehicle.

On Monday December 17, 2007 at about 12:52 am El Cerrito Police Officers responded to Windrush School, at 1800 Elm Street, after the burglary alarm was activated. After an investigation Jodie Damion Daniels, a 26 year old male resident of El Cerrito, and Ebony Melanie Jackson, a 31 year old female resident of San Francisco, were arrested for burglarizing the school. Daniels and Jackson were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Sunday December 16, 2007 at about 3:30 am Officer Brosas arrested Charles Crain, a 71 year old male resident of San Pablo, after Crain was found in possession of methamphetamine and driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage during a traffic stop. Crain was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday December 15, 2007 at about 11:30 pm Officer Mills arrested Shani Michelle Corbett, a 24 year old female resident of Oakland, after Corbett was found in possession of cocaine during a traffic stop. On Saturday December 15, 2007 at about 8:42 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a collision and arrested Benjamin Veran, a 34 year old male resident of Benicia, after it was determined that Veran collided his vehicle into a parked car while driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage causing injury to one of his passengers. Veran was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday December 13, 2007 at about 2:04 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the El Cerrito High School, at 540 Ashbury Ave. After an investigation two 17 year old male residents of Richmond were arrested for taking property from a fellow student by force. One male suspect was released to his guardian and the other male suspect was transported to Juvenile Hall, pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday December 12, 2007 at about 10:36 pm Sergeant Cliatt arrested Jennie Amerman, a 42 year old female resident of Oakland, after Amerman was found in possession of controlled substances during a traffic stop. On Wednesday December 12, 2007 at about 1:30 pm Officer Hoffman arrested a 14 year old male resident of Richmond after it was determined the male had drawn a large quantity of graffiti on numerous El Cerrito High School buildings. On Tuesday December 11, 2007 at about 5:37 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the Tobacco Outlet, at 10170 San Pablo Ave. After an investigation Robert Alonso Diaz, an 18 year old male resident of Rodeo, was arrested for theft and was found in possession of a controlled substance for sales. Diaz was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday December 8, 2007 at about 3:53 am Officer Cooper arrested Daniel Amadio, a 26 year old male resident of Walnut Creek, after Amadio was found in possession of an illegal weapon, and driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, during a traffic stop. Amadio was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On December 6, 2007, Gretchen Porter was reported as a voluntarily missing person to the El Cerrito Police Department. During the investigation Porter was located in San Francisco. Porter has since been reunited with her family. The family and the El Cerrito Police Department would like to thank all of the involved parties who assisted in this investigation.

On December 6, 2007, Heyn was reported as a voluntarily missing adult by her family. The El Cerrito Police Department is conducting an investigation to reunite Heyn with her family.

Heyn is a 61 year old white female adult with blonde hair and blue eyes. Heyn weighs approximately 170 lbs. and stands 5'4" tall. While it is likely that Heyn is staying in the West Contra Costa Count-Berkley area. It is possibly that she is enroute to the Seattle, Washington area to visit relatives. Heyn also uses the name Gretchen Porter.

The El Cerrito Police Department is asking anyone who comes into contact with Heyn to call Det. Gilbert Tang at Richmond Dispatch (510) 237-3233 or their local police agency.

On Monday, December 3, 2007, at 1833 hours officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 11000 block of San Pablo Avenue. An investigation ensued that led to the arrest of 22 year old Richmond resident Demarr Levon Carney. Carney was booked for making terrorists, assault, theft and resisting arrest. Carney was sent to the County Jail in Martinez. The case will be sent to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office for review.

On Saturday, December 1, 2007, at 2119 hours an El Cerrito Police Department Officer conducted a pedestrian stop at San Pablo Avenue and Blake Street. The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of 32 year old El Cerrito resident, Jason Charrette, for possession of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe. Charrette was booked and then released on a citation. The case will be sent to the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office for review, after lab results return.
