On Friday May 30, 2008 at about 9:30 pm Officer Chalk arrested Juan Carlos Maciel, a 28 year old male resident of Richmond, after Maciel was found in possession of a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop. Maciel was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Sunday May 25, 2008 at about 7:58 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a theft at Orchard Supply Hardware, at 1751 Eastshore Blvd. After an investigation Huckthai Sipaseut, a 27 year old male resident of San Pablo, was arrested for burglary. Sipaseut was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday May 24, 2008 at about 4:48 am Officer Brosas arrested Sharina Toshae Mays, a 26 year old female resident of Richmond, after Mays was found in possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop. A subsequent investigation revealed Mays was also in possession of identity theft information. Mays was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday May 23, 2008 at about 5:13 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to Lucky's, at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza, on a report of shoplifting. After an investigation Cheryl Lynn Dorgone, a 51 year old female resident of Richmond, and Darlene Laurice Scott, a 48 year old female resident of Richmond, were arrested for theft. Dorgone and Scott were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday May 23, 2008 at about 12:25 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to the 2500 block of Nason Ave on a report of suspicious persons loitering around a house. After an investigation Mace Thompson, a 41 year old male resident of San Pablo, and Toni Jeannette Hall, a 37 year old female resident of San Pablo, were arrested for burglary. Thompson and Hall were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday May 23, 2008 at about 3:30 am Officer Chalk arrested Edwin Serrano, a 29 year old male resident of Richmond, after Serrano was found in possession of a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop. Serrano was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday May 22, 2008 at about 12:43 am Officer Matsui arrested Kenneth Evans Nielsen, a 54 year old male resident of Albany, and Felix Christian Goldgruber, a 56 year old male resident of Albany, after Nielson and Goldgruber were found in possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop. Nielson and Goldgruber were released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday May 21, 2008 at about 4:24 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to Dollar Tree, at 11555 San Pablo Ave, on a report of shoplifting. After an investigation Willie Albert Bowie, a 54 year old male resident of Richmond, was arrested for theft. Bowie was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday May 21, 2008 at about 11:30 am Detective Tang arrested Mark Davin Gonzalez, a 39 year old male resident of Oakland, after Gonzalez was identified as the person who fled from El Cerrito Police Officers on May 9, 2008 after being found in possession of s stolen vehicle. Gonzalez was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday May 19, 2008 at about 9:01 pm Officer Del Prado arrested Daniel Patrick McGill, a 39 year old male resident of Richmond, Martha Josephine Brooks, a 37 year old female resident of San Pablo, and Brenda Jasmine Lopez, a 31 year old female resident of San Francisco, after McGill was found stealing a catalytic converter from a vehicle while Brooks and Lopez acted as look outs. Lopez was also found in possession of methamphetamine. McGill, Brooks and Lopez were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday May 17, 2008 at about 9:20 pm Officer Elder arrested Bryan Lamar Allen, a 24 year old male resident of Richmond, after Allen was found in possession of stolen property during an investigation prompted by the victim, with the same allegation. Allen was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Friday May 16, 2008 at about 12:43 am Officer Cooper arrested Raphael Raymundo, a 49 year old male resident of Richmond, after Raymundo was found in possession of a controlled substance and burglary tools during a pedestrian stop. Raymundo was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday May 15, 2008 at about 1:00 pm Officer Guzman arrested Veronica Sanchez, a 21 year old female resident of Richmond, after Sanchez was identified as the person responsible for negotiating a counterfeit check at Trader Joes, at 225 El Cerrito Plaza, on Tuesday May 13, 2008. Sanchez was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday May 14, 2008 at about 9:33 am Officer Wahrlich arrested Karen Elaine Cotton, a 40 year old female resident of Oakland, after Cotton was found in possession of an illegal weapon and a loaded and concealed handgun while stealing recyclables. Cotton was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday May 14, 2008 El Cerrito Police Department presented the robbery/sexual assault case against Troyshawn Robinson to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office, along with a second case which involved an attempted robbery of an additional El Cerrito victim that also occurred on Monday May 12, 2008.

After reviewing the cases the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office filed numerous felony robbery and sexual assault charges against Robinson, with additional enhancements for using a weapon and being on parole when committing the assaults.

Robinson is also under investigation for a similar crime occurring in Alameda County, which is being investigated by the Oakland Police Department.

Robinson remained in custody following the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday May 12, 2008 at about 5:08 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Lucky's, at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. After an investigation Jerome Foster, a 47 year old male resident of Oakland, was arrested for theft. Foster was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday May 12, 2008 at about 8:16 pm two citizens were confronted on the BART path by a man brandishing a knife. The man sexually assaulted one of the parties while holding the second person at bay with the knife. After the assault the suspect fled on foot. El Cerrito Police Officers responded and apprehended the assailant, Troyshawn Robinson, a 20 year old male resident of Oakland, a short distance away. Robinson was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday May 7, 2008 at about 10:46 am Officer Wahrlich arrested Steve Price, a 39 year old male resident of Oakland, after Price was found in possession of methamphetamine during a pedestrian stop. Price was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Monday May 5, 2008 at about 10:30 am El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at Target, at 11450 San Pablo Ave. After an investigation a 14 year old male resident of Fairfield was arrested for theft. The male was released to his guardian pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Sunday May 4, 2008 at about 6:00 pm El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Lucky's, at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. After an investigation Tafaoga McMullin, a 25 year old female resident of San Francisco, was arrested for theft. McMullin was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

After an investigation Mickey Robinson, a 61 year old male resident of Richmond, was arrested for theft. Robinson was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

After an investigation Robbin Cunningham, a 37 year old female resident of El Cerrito, was arrested for theft. Cunningham was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

After an investigation Jason Loger, a 21 year old male resident of El Cerrito, was arrested for assault. Ludlow was released pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Saturday May 3, 2008 at about 3:38 am El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 11700 block of San Pablo Ave. After an investigation Jennifer Lee Saepharn, a 28 year old female resident of Richmond, was arrested for assault. Saepharn was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.

On Thursday May 1, 2008 at about 12:14 am El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a disturbance in the 10900 block of San Pablo Ave. After an investigation it was determined the residents and visitors to the location were engaged in the theft, sale and resale of catalytic converters. Over 80 catalytic converters were seized and the following persons were arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility pending the filing of charges by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office:
